Have you ever wanted to be featured on a game show?
Two members of the AC Singers were interviewed by the television show
"Street Smarts."
Kelli Wilburn and Carlos Flores were interviewed by two members of the
show's crew after their performance at the State Fair on Oct. 5.
Wilburn was asked a variety of questions about television sitcoms and common
sense issues.
The show did not allow Wilburn to wear her AC Singers shirt, because they were not allowed to advertise for the group. However, she could say what
college she attends and that she is a member of the AC Singers.
"It was really fun," Wilburn said. Wilburn said meeting people from the show, which she has seen on television,
was exciting.
Flores was asked several trivia questions pertaining to the 1970s. According
to Beckie Compton, director of the AC Singers, Flores also performed a
disco move during the interview. Flores said, "It was definitely a fun experience."
Wilburn and Flores were told to contact the show the first week in November
to find out when their interviews will be on the show.
The AC Singers performed two shows at the State Fair on Oct. 5. Their shows
consisted of a variety of different styles of music.
