Funny Side Of Nursing
Laughter reigns at Nurses' Reunion

Humor therapist Elaine Lundberg of Orlando, Fla. kicked off National Nurses' Week at Angelina College with a seminar, "Laughter Can Help Heal Your Humorroids."

She showed the physiological and psychological health benefits of laughter
and focused on incorporating positive humor into professional lives. AC
nursing graduates and students were admitted free to the seminar and
received three free contact hours of CNE credit for participating in the
seminar.

"This is our gift to our nursing graduates and students," said Dr. Larry
Phillips, president of the college. The humor therapy seminar was the final
event sponsored by Angelina College Alumni & Friends to honor AC graduates during the college's 35th anniversary year.

During its 35 year history, Angelina College has graduated more than 1,500 nurses. Most of them still work in the East Texas area. A nursing alumni group is being organized through the AC Alumni & Friends.
