Basic Peace Officer Course

(AKA – Police Academy)

720-hour training course that must be completed to take the state licensing test to become a Texas Peace Officer and work as a law enforcement officer in Texas.

160-hour training course that allows federal agents and former peace officers to take the state licensing test to become a Texas Peace Officer and work as a law enforcement officer in Texas.

Basic County Corrections Course

(AKA – County Jailer Training)

This is the 96-hour training course that must be completed to take the state licensing test to be a Texas Jailer and work as jailer in a county jail in Texas.

This is the 40-hour training course that allows Texas Peace Officers to take the he state licensing test to be a Texas Jailer and work as jailer in a county jail in Texas.

Basic Telecommunications Certification Course

(AKA – 9-1-1 Dispatcher Training)

This is the 72-hour training course that must be completed to take the state licensing test to be a Telecommunications Officer and work in Emergency Communications in Texas.
