The Angelina College Fire Academy conducts a Basic Fire Suppression certification course each Spring
and Fall semesters. The
course consists of 608 contact hours (Firefighter I and Firefighter II) of
classroom and hands-on field training. Classes are held 8 hours a day, 5
days a week for a period of 16 weeks. The course is designed to prepare
the student to sit for the Texas Commission on Fire Protection basic
firefighter certification examination. Applications are available from the
community services division or call the Angelina College Fire Academy
