The Angelina College Fire Academy conducts a Basic Fire Suppression certification course each Spring and Fall semesters.

The course consists of 608 contact hours (Firefighter I and Firefighter II) of classroom and hands-on field training.

Classes are held 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for a period of 16 weeks.

The course is designed to prepare the student to sit for the Texas Commission on Fire Protection basic firefighter certification examination.
