WEBCT LOG IN INFORMATION

To log in to WebCT, go to the Angelina College Web site, www.angelina.edu.

Click on the WebCT icon.

For your WebCT ID, enter the first three digits of your Student ID number and then the first initial of your first name and then your last name.

For your WebCT password, enter the last four digits of your Student ID number. Be sure to enter all information in lower case characters.

Course descriptions

Video Conferencing


Courses offered on the main campus and concurrent high school locations.
Connectivity to off-campus sites is limited.
Courses utilize web-enhanced instruction.

The Virtual College of Texas www.vct.org offers a large variety of internet courses. You may enroll with Angelina College for selected courses offered through the VCT. Please contact Judith Wright at 936/633-5392 for more information.

Reservations for courses offered through the Virtual College of Texas (VCT) must be made in the Office of Distance Learning (A201) as early as possible before the semester in which the student plans to enroll. 

Reservations are done on an individual basis. VCT students must schedule an appointment with the Distance Learning coordinator to secure their reservations and to be briefed on textbook and testing procedures. 

Students receiving financial aid may order their textbooks through the Angelina College Bookstore when they reserve their VCT course. For books to arrive at the beginning of the semester, students must have made their reservation before the textbook deadline indicated in the printed schedule. Contact the Distance Learning office at 936-633-5392 or 936-633-5489.

PROCEDURAL LIST FOR VCT STUDENTS

  • You have made a reservation for a class through the Virtual College of Texas. Angelina College is hosting this course but another institution is providing the course. There is a $25 technology fee to help defray the cost of this service.
  • Since Angelina College is hosting this course, students must adhere to AC procedures, including deadlines for withdrawals.
  • This reservation does not enroll you with Angelina College. You must take your VCT reservation documents with you to registration to be admitted to the course.
  • The Distance Learning Office must have written notification if you decide not to enroll or to drop the course. You can email distancelearning-vctangelina.edu or send a fax to (936) 633-5410 to inform us of your decision. You must also submit a formal withdrawal to Enrollment Services to drop or withdraw from a course.
  • Students receiving financial aid may apply for a help loan to assist in purchasing their books through Special Student Support Services, Room 200, Student Center. Student must supply a printed copy of the name of the textbook and its cost from either the college offering the course or an Internet textbook service. Loan applications must be submitted before noon on Thursday of every week.
  • Students are responsible for obtaining their VCT textbooks.
  • Testing for VCT courses is done through the Angelina College Testing Office (SC Room 200D). VCT students must contact the AC Testing Center, at ac_tcangelina.edu, to schedule a test. If you are unable to test at the prearranged time, you must notify the testing office by calling 936-633-5495 or 936-633-4502.
  • Your documents include both a phone number and an e-mail address for the VCT coordinator of the providing institution and the VCT course instructor. Please notify these individuals after making your reservation to receive specific information for accessing the course.

    Students interested in Virtual College of Texas courses must contact the Office of Distance Learning (936) 633-5392 to make your reservations early. Course listings should be available by late October or early November.
