Angelina College board members and administrators recognized faculty, staff and retirees during Monday’s annual service awards luncheon held on the A.C. campus.
Debra Jenke, government instructor, was named Minnie Stevens Piper professor nominee.
Patty Donaldson, health and physical education instructor and Todd Farmer, biology instructor, were recognized for attending the Texas Community College Teaching Association’s Great Teaching Round-up.
Cora Scott, developmental English instructor, received the Promising Faculty award which recognizes the faculty member that has proven to have outstanding teaching promise as acknowledged by their professional peers as well as proven themselves to be dedicated to the mission and core values of Angelina College.
Janice Huffman, Workforce Development coordinator, received the Staff Excellence award which recognizes a staff member for going above and beyond while serving Angelina College in an exceptional way.
Robbie Lacomb Roach, art instructor, received the Distinguished Faculty award which recognizes those teaching at Angelina College over a period of six or more years that have demonstrated their commitment and devotion for higher education as well as to the mission and core values of Angelina College.
Lois Anderson, Technical Services clerk received her pin for 30 years of service to A.C.
Those receiving pins for 25 years of service were Thomas Dudley, biology instructor; Diana Throckmorton, interim associate dean of instruction; and Sandra Cox, registrar.
Those receiving pins for 20 years of service were David Wilkerson, emergency medical services program director; Beckie Compton, music instructor; and Richard Bumpus, I.T. technician.
Those recognized for 15 years of service were Jan Anderson-Paxson, art/communication/photography instructor; Alysa Cummins, nursing instructor; Autumn Conner, radiologic technology/diagnostic medical sonography instructor; Janice Hartsfield, emergency medical services instructor; Janice Huffman, workforce development coordinator; Julie Mays, mathematics instructor; Ronnie Naramore, psychology instructor; Libby Stapleton, communication instructor/student publications coordinator; Elaine Young, pharmacy technician program director/instructor; Bill Fisk, computer science instructor; and Myrnia Boyd, records and reports clerk.

Retirees recognized include Kay Cummings, office administration instructor; Dr. Laura Hebert, associate dean of Liberal Arts; Sue Gumm, administrative assistant, Technology & Workforce division; Edith Miller, English instructor; and Gale Vohs, coordinator of watchmen.
