Language Arts & Education – Transfer Programs

Language Arts & Education Division

Academic Areas: Education, English, Physical Education, Spanish and Student Success

Transfer Programs: General Curriculum, Teacher Education, Health and Physical Education.

The Associate of Arts core is designed to give students breadth of knowledge in the liberal arts, promote critical thinking that is fundamental to higher education, and allow students to take specific courses in a discipline. Students working toward the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree will take essential core requirements that will confer a degree, as well as allow them to transfer to a four-year college.

Angelina College offers the Associate of Arts degree to students completing the general graduation requirements for all degrees, the Associate of Arts degree core requirements, and those courses required for the academic area.

The Associate of Science degree is available for students completing the general graduation requirements for all degrees, the Associate of Science degree core requirements, and those courses required for the academic area.

Please see an advisor in these areas for further information.

The transfer institution’s requirements may vary; therefore, it is in the best interest of the students to consult with their transfer institution and communicate with their academic advisor or counselor.

Some degrees do not require completion of the core

Language requirements may be met with Spanish. The science requirement may include chemistry, physics, geology, and/or biology.
