Notice of Student Acceptance for Associate Degree Nursing Program,

Class of 2009-2011:

Please read and follow all instructions.  This information is given to assist you in your transition from applicant to nursing student. The students who are accepted have been listed by the AC student ID number below.  Your acceptance is contingent on completion and submission of the following:

• Clear background check Gibbs. The background check must be completed by August 26, 2009.  The procedure is as follows:
• Go to www.angelina.edu
• Go to “links” (upper right hand corner of web page
• Go to “health careers”
• Go to “background checks”
• Go to bottom of page and click on button which says “student background checks”
• Follow directions on the web page
• Negative drug screen (instructions to be given at the orientation session)
• Completed file including all health information and CPR  Card
• Attendance at the mandatory orientation session on August 27 and August 28,2009

The orientation session will be held in Room 110 of the Health Careers Building I from 8:30-4:30 on August 27th and August 28th. 

On August 27th you will register for classes and you must be prepared to pay for tuition and books on that day.  If you have already registered for a fall class we will drop that class for you at the time of registration.   On August 28th you will order uniforms and supplies and payment is due at the time of order. 

The first regular day of class is Monday, August 31 at 8:30 in room 110, Health Careers Building I.
