POSITION: Instructor of Biology

EMPLOYMENT DATE: August 2012

QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in biology is required. Preference will be given to individuals with at least two years of college teaching experience particularly experience teaching anatomy and physiology at the collegiate level. The successful candidate must demonstrate abilities to interact effectively with a diverse student population. Excellent English oral and written communication skills are required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibilities will include teaching anatomy and physiology along with related courses if needed. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching course-related laboratories. This position is expected to support the mission of Angelina College by maintaining high educational standards, advising students, and performing other college-related duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Angelina College Policies and Procedures Manual. Teaching assignments may include summer and off-campus courses, but will include afternoon and evening classes.

CONTRACT& SALARY: Nine month contract, but with willingness to teach a portion of the summer, with overload pay. Salary is competitive, based on the Angelina College Salary Schedule, and is commensurate with education and experience. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
