Students who wish to teach grades nine through twelve should major in the subject of the desired teaching field. 

The General Curriculum program contained in this section offers a guide for those who wish to teach in a Liberal Arts area. 

Students who wish to teach in a field other than Liberal Arts should follow other division guidelines. 

THEA or an appropriate alternative assessment of basic skills is required for all prospective teachers regardless of when they took their first college courses.
