POSITION: Part-Time Manufacturing Skills Instructor – All Locations
EMPLOYMENT DATE: Until Filled
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Some experience in manufacturing or related field.
- Three years of field experience in manufacturing, specifically in one or more of the following areas; safety, quality practices and measurement, manufacturing production and processes, and maintenance awareness.
- Classroom teaching experience.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Excellent English language, interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a customer-friendly attitude with the public, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities
- Self-motivated and multi-task oriented, with the ability to set priorities in a busy environment.
Under the direction of the Manager of Workforce and Continuing Education, the Part-Time Manufacturing Skills Instructor will perform the following duties:
- Participate in instructor training program to become a certified MSSC-CPT instructor;
- Deliver instruction in the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Certified Production Technician program (MSSC-CPT);
- Follow a course syllabus for each course;
- Submit any required college reports and forms in a timely manner; and
- Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives.
CONTRACT & SALARY:
$21.00 per hour. Proof of identify and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
