Songwriter
and novelist Marsha D. Jenkins-Sanders will be on hand to speak at as
part of an African-American Heritage Book event in Angelina College’s
Hudgins Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22.
In addition, Jenkins-Sanders will hold a book signing that will include
her debut novel, “The Other Side of Through”, a work the Disilgold Soul
Magazine Literary Review called “one of the most electrifying and
twisted must-reads of the year!”
Before penning her best-selling novel, Jenkins-Sanders received acclaim
in the music industry, winning recognition from the American Society of
Composers, Authors and Publishers for Writer and Publisher in the R&B
genre. Her song “Kissing You” was certified gold and went on to be
featured as the background music for love scenes on the ABC soap opera
General Hospital.
The author is scheduled to speak at 11:30 am. with the book signing to
follow.
