12/7/2007 - Angelina College Baseball Holding Holiday Baseball Camp
The 2007 Holiday Baseball camp for youngsters age 8 through 19 will
take place Dec. 29-30th at Angelina College.
Chris Smith, Los Angeles Dodgers scout and former coach at both Cal
State Fullerton and Loyola Marymount, will direct the camp. He will be
assisted by Jeff Livin, head coach of Angelina College, and Kyle Van
Hook, a current scout for the Seattle Mariners who served as head
coach at Blinn College and assistant coach at San Jacinto College.
The camp, a comprehensive program on hitting, pitching and throwing
mechanics, will offer quality instruction in the fundamentals of
baseball and an opportunity for practice and drills.
The camp is designed to ensure a 12-1 camper-to-coach ration. Camp
attendance will be limited. In case of inclement weather, there is an
indoor facility available.
Cost per camper is $80 per player, which includes nine hours of
instruction in three session: 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 29th; and 1-4
p.m. on Dec. 30th.
The emphasis will be on hitting, pitching and defensive positions.
Each camper will be filmed and evaluated by the coaching staff during
the camp.
For registration information, contact Jeff Livin at 936-639-0647 after
