An exhibit of work by Graphic Arts students at Angelina College opens in
the ACA Art Gallery on Oct. 29 and runs through Nov. 14. A reception
honoring the students is scheduled for Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.
Jan Anderson-Paxson's photography students will present some of their
photographic projects completed during the semester. The projects were
designed to help students learn certain concepts in photography such as
controlling depth of field, understanding directional lighting, how to
convey motion in a still image, as well as paying attention to the
photographic composition. Students in Anderson-Paxson’s Digital
Publishing II class will also show projects including calendars, and
advertising campaigns.
Reg Reynolds’ Digital Imaging II class will present works of food
styling photography aw well as some video production.
Reynolds’ Computer Art students will exhibit Xerox images and 3-D
digital images. Reynolds’ Digital Imaging I students will exhibit
portraits demonstrating the use of reflectors in outdoor settings.
Reynolds’ Web Design students will exhibit work they have done in
coordination with the Baptist Student Union and the Lamplight Theater.
Students in Libby Stapleton’s Editing and Layout classes will exhibit
résumés, booklet covers, and business cards with original logos. Editing
and Layout introduces the history and principles of design and the
basics of typography, art and illustration, branding, editing, and
publication design as well as page layout software on Macintosh
computers.
