AC PIANO STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN PIANO JAZZ FESTIVAL
On Saturday, March 29, forty-two piano students participated in the
Angelina College Piano Jazz Festival. The students, ages 6-18, each
performed a jazz selection for adjudicator Tracy Ward, a graduate piano
student at Stephen F. Austin State University who performs with the
Swingin’ Axes Jazz Band.
The students received a critique sheet from the adjudicator and a rating
of superior, excellent or good. Twenty-eight of the students who
prepared a jazz selection received the rating of superior on their
performance.
Students participating in the festival included Courtney Mask, Shelbi
