FINE ARTS DIVISION PRESENTS "PLAYS IN TEN"

Weird, wacky, and woeful – last year’s ten minute plays featured in the Angelina College Theater’s “Plays in Ten” were all that and more.

This year, guest directors Sue Jones and Michael Gallagher, along with guest director/playwright David Raine and AC Theater Director Kary Raine, have again chosen plays that are a just a little off center and devastatingly funny. The various casts consist of AC students – both theater majors and non-theater majors.

Cast and crew members are: Jason Allen of Colmesneil, Tara Allen of Chester, Laura Atkinson of Lufkin, Wes Baker of Huntington, Sasha Cruz of Crockett, Yolanda Drew of Lufkin, Lindsey Fairbanks of Dallardsville, Courtney Gaither of New York City, Candace Howell of Cushing, Cameron Jones of Lufkin, Casey Lilley of Dallardsville, Britney Majefski of Kingwood, Alicia Mayhugh of Chireno, Danyelle McClain and Stephanie Pennebaker, both of Lufkin, Jessica Poland of Saratoga, Noel Proctor of Corrigan, Quintessa Robinson of San Augustine, Justin Walker of Lufkin, and Clarissa Wallace of Grand Saline.

This delectable mélange of comedic vignettes will be presented Feb. 21, 22, and 23, 2008 in the Angelina Center for the Arts Black Box (Theatre Lab) at 7:30 p.m. each night. There will be no late seating for these performances.

Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for seniors and students 16 and up. Children under the age of 16 will not be admitted.

Call the Temple Theater Box Office at 936-633-5454 for ticket information. Box Office hours are 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.

The Interpreter (Sasha Cruz, right) jumps into the arms of Norman (Casey Lillie), her would-be rescuer, during rehearsal for “Arabian Nights” – one of several ten-minute skits presented for Angelina College Theatre’s “Plays in Ten.” The mélange of plays runs Feb. 21st through the 23nd at 7:30 p.m. in the Angelina Center for the Arts “Black Box.”
