1/11/2012 - Roadrunners Drop Road Game to Lamar-Port Arthur On the road against the defending conference champs, the Angelina College Roadrunners were within five points with four minutes to play before the Lamar-Port Arthur Seahawks pulled away late for an 84-70 win in Port Arthur. “I love my guys,” head coach Todd Neighbors said. “They listen and they compete. We just haven’t found that chemistry offensively or defensively we need to be even better. I give a lot of credit to Coach (Matt) Cross and his staff. They have quite a few talented sophomores. It’s time for our freshmen to start playing like sophomores. “I expect us to come out hungry against Lee College on Saturday.” Mike Myers led the Roadrunners with 21 points. Jaylen Daniel added 15 and Victor Mbachu 14 for AC, now 9-6, 0-4 on the season. Lamar-PA moves to 13-3, 5-0 on the season. The ‘Runners will host Lee College Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Shands Gymnasium.
