1/14/2012 - Lee College 64, Roadrunners 51

For nearly the entirety of the first half, the Angelina College Roadrunners held the lead.

It only took a couple of minutes near the end of the half for the Lee College Rebels to change that.

The Rebels closed out the final five minutes of the half with a 14-4 run, then allowed the Roadrunners no closer than two points in the second half to take the 64-51 win Saturday at Shands Gym.

Devante Wilson connected for four three pointers to lead the Rebels with 16 points, and Darian Banks came off the bench to add 15 more for Lee College.

Mike Myers finished the game with 13 points, but just five of those came in the second half, as the Rebels found a way to deny him the ball over most of the final 20 minutes. Jaylen Daniel also scored 13 for the Roadrunners.

The loss drops AC to 9-7, 0-5 on the season. Lee College moves to 12-5, 2-3.

The Roadrunners will be on the road Wednesday against Lon Morris in Jacksonville. The Lady ‘Runners will start at 5:30 p.m., with the Roadrunners following at 7:30 p.m.
