Psychology Conference Set for April 28


Angelina College will host its annual psychology conference April 28 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Community Services building, room 104.

The schedule is as follows:

9 a.m. – Jaime West, prevention coordinator, Family Crisis Center of East Texas will speak on sexual violence prevention

10 a.m. – Chapter Officer Wolf – Bikers Against Child Abuse (Lufkin Chapter)

11 a.m. – Sarah E. Pelfrey, Tessa A. Thoman, and Emily A. Sanches of SFA’s Psychology department: “How Weight Bias in the Wizarding World Affects Muggles”

1 p.m. – Robert J. Hurt of SFA’s School of Social Work will speak about providing advocacy with ICT

2 p.m. – Open Discussion, “Through the Psychology of Protest”
