Since 1989, the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA®) has provided Texas students and institutions of higher education with a flexible, fair, and accurate testing and score-reporting system. Its purpose is to assess the reading, mathematics, and writing skills that entering freshman-level students should have if they are to perform effectively in undergraduate certificate or degree programs in Texas public colleges or universities. Preparation Classes THEA preparation classes are offered through the Community Services Division. Please call 936-633-5208 for more information and class schedules. Practice exams can be obtained at the THEA website at: www.thea.nesinc.com. 2010 - 2011 You may register for THEA online at www.thea.nesinc.com or print & complete the registration form & mail with payment to the address provided. The Testing Center no longer receives THEA booklets.
Refer to the following table for information about registration options and deadlines for each test administration. If you need to take the THEA Test before the next regularly scheduled administration, the THEA Quick Test may be an option for you. You will need to register at the THEA website: www.thea.nesinc.com or print the form from the website and mail it to the address provided.
