Student Ambassadors develop a wide range of transferable skills that benefit you. Employers, colleges and universities are looking for more than just good grades; they want community involvement and service! Student Ambassadors gain leadership skills that will help build their resume, university and scholarship applications.

They earn letters of recommendation, get connected to and serve their campus, and help students and the community learn more about Angelina College.

Acting as a student ambassador offers students a chance to grow their leadership and communication skills, and inspire other students to take a more active role in representing the school.

• Attend mandatory new member orientation
• Attend mandatory monthly meeting
• Work a minimum of 20 hours per semester
• Organize and serve at events including but not limited to Registration Rally and Rowdy Weekend
• Serve at large-scale College events including but not limited to Commencement
• Develop an expanded knowledge of Angelina College
• Assist with campus tours for new students, schools, classes and guests
• Represent Angelina College during college events
• Build school spirit as they engage with Rowdy and represent AC on social media platforms

Qualifications…

• Must be currently enrolled in at least 12 credits
• Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Position has a one academic year commitment
• Demonstrate strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Exhibit leadership, initiative, dependability, discipline and enthusiasm
