How Jacks Jumpstart Works
Jacks Jumpstart allows eligible students to start at Angelina College as Roadrunners and return to SFA as Lumberjacks—often in as little as one semester.
Step 1: Be Identified and Opt In Through SFA (Required)
Students are invited to Jacks Jumpstart by SFA. If selected, students must complete SFA’s opt-in form by their deadline to participate.
Step 2: Complete Coursework at Angelina College
After opting in, students enroll at Angelina College and complete:
- 15–30 transferable core credit hours (online or on campus in Lufkin, Texas)
- A minimum 2.0 GPA on completed coursework
- College readiness requirements
Step 3: Submit Transcript to SFA
Once coursework is complete, students submit their official Angelina College transcript to SFA.
Eligible students may then return to SFA within one academic year without submitting a new application.
Support You’ll Receive at AC

What Happens After You Opt In

- Access your AC student account
- Submit any required documents
- Complete the FAFSA and AC online orientation
- Register for classes
Please watch your email closely and complete each step as soon as possible.
