Located in Lufkin, Texas, a city of 36,000, AC offers the best features of rural and suburban living in the safe and attractive “pineywoods” region of Texas. Lufkin is known for its rich community and cultural events; excellent healthcare services; vibrant local businesses; and proximity to beautiful lakes, forests, and rivers. AC offers associate degrees and certificates in four schools, which are Business & Technology, Arts & Education, Science & Mathematics, and Health Careers. AC also offers customized workforce training, adult basic education, police and fire academies, and personal enrichment courses through our Community Services division. AC provides a vibrant and diverse living-learning environment featuring championship intercollegiate athletic teams, fun residence life programming, engaged student organizations, and excellent student theater and musical productions. We are particularly proud of the college’s partnership with the Angelina Arts Alliance, a nonprofit organization presenting a diverse and comprehensive selection of professional performing arts events in AC’s multimillion-dollar Center for the Arts.
