The Child and Family Development degree opens up a world of rewarding career opportunities working with children and families. Anyone employed by a Texas Rising Star (TRS) childcare facility is required to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential upon completion of the Angelina College Child & Family Development program.
For those employed at TRS facilities, the Texas Workforce Commission Deep East Texas Workforce Board will cover the cost of obtaining the CDA Credential
as long as funding is available.
Additionally, scholarships may be available for students who wish to earn the CDA Credential but are not currently employed at a TRS facility. If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities or have questions about your eligibility, please contact your faculty advisor.
