Texas Board of Nursing Recognizes Angelina College Nursing Program

The Angelina College Nursing Department completed a comprehensive survey visit with the Texas Board of Nursing for the three nursing programs. This includes the Associate Degree of Nursing degree leading to registered nursing licensure, the vocational nursing option within the Associate Degree Nursing program and the traditional Vocational Nursing Certificate program.

The survey noted the high percentage of Angelina College Nursing graduates passing the NCLEX. Currently the pass rates for Associate Degree Nursing leading to RN of 96.5%; the VN MEEP option leading to VN of 100% and the Traditional Vocational Nursing pass rate leading to VN of 87.5%.

Students interviewed during the survey visit stated they selected Angelina College Nursing programs due to the reputation of the nursing program in the community and several students noted their family members (parents, siblings, grandparents, etc..) attend the nursing programs at Angelina College.
