Members of Angelina College this past week attended the 79th Annual TCCTA (Texas Community College Teachers Association) Convention held in Frisco, Texas. Dr. Clare Hancock, Aaron Grimes, Dr. April Samaras, and Gary Stallard served as presenters. Other AC attendees included Rachel Hunt (who currently serves as Secretary of TCCTA), Diana Throckmorton, and Shelby Armstrong.
TCCTA is the largest organization of postsecondary educators in Texas, with more than 5,000 members from public and independent community, technical, and junior colleges. As an independent professional association—not a union—it advocates for faculty, promotes professional development, and hosts the largest convention for community college faculty in the nation.
