Games Scheduled Sept. 17-20 in Dallas

Five Angelina College Roadrunner baseball players – each a returner from the 2026 season – have been named as participants in the upcoming Texas-New Mexico JUCO All-Star Game taking place Sept. 17-20 at Dallas Baptist University in Dallas.
Ethan Muniz (pitcher), Landon Richards (pitcher), Brayden Pate (second baseman), Jorge Arcia-Palmer (catcher) and Gavin Harmse (outfielder) will represent AC at the annual event.
Muniz, a sophomore right-hander from Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, appeared in 14 games in 2026, finishing with a 7-4 record while striking out 55 batters in 59 innings pitched. Muniz struck out a season-high 10 hitters in his Feb. 21 outing against Tyler Junior College.
Richards, a sophomore from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School in Orange, made 15 appearances, primarily out of the bullpen. The righty struck out 31 hitters in 30.2 innings pitched, including a seven-K effort against Temple College on Jan. 30.
Sophomore Pate, from Gilmer High School in Gilmer, batted .362 over 32 games, knocking in 13 runs while scoring another 28. Pate finished with eight doubles and a pair of triples while swiping four bases; he fielded his position at second base at a .948 fielding percentage.
Arcia-Palma, a catcher from St. Pius X High School in Caracas, Venezuela, finished with the second-highest batting average (.379) on the team in 2026 despite missing the last few games because of an injury. Arcia-Palma drove in 26 runs while rocking five homers, finishing with a .611 slugging percentage.
Harmse, a sophomore from Lumberton High School in Lumberton, missed much of the first part of the 2026 season with an injury, but came on strong late to finish with a .365 batting average, three homers and 21 runs batted in.
