The Associate of Science (A.S.) degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college
or university to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Students working toward the Associate of
Science degree will complete essential core requirements and electives based on their major emphasis and
career goals. Students pursuing an A.S. should meet with an advisor to discuss specific course options
based on the student’s area of interest.
The Health Science degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in health science, public health, community health, or other related fields. The program is not intended for students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in preparation for graduate programs in medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, or veterinary medicine.
