Angelina College Hosting ‘Dinner at the Diamond’ on Saturday
Fundraiser Provides Support for All AC Students

Angelina College’s annual “Dinner at the Diamond” has become one of the area’s “must-see” social events, and this year’s version promises more of the same excitement and atmosphere.
Held right on the field of AC’s Poland Stadium, home of the Roadrunner baseball team, Dinner at the Diamond is one of the college’s biggest fund-raising events, bringing together local businesses, community leaders and members, students, and college staff to raise funds for scholarships, Student Emergency Aid, Meningitis Vaccines, and the Roadrunner Food Market at Angelina College. Attendees can enjoy a memorable evening of delicious food, live entertainment, and both a live and silent auction. More than 750 people attended in 2025, and this year’s event promises to surpass those numbers.
Angelina College athletes, along with students from other programs such as the Law Enforcement Academy and Fire Academy, assist with the entire event, which runs from 7-10 p.m.
The event has the backing of numerous local sponsors, including presenting sponsors Haylee and Brandon Belt.
“We want everyone present to realize just how much of an impact they’re making on our students,” Leigh Ann Pyle, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at AC, said. “The generosity our attendees display is helping people achieve their goals and dreams, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.
“It’s definitely an awesome night, but to have it backing such a great cause makes it even more special.”
Musical guest Donice Morace will provide the entertainment. Morace has opened for national acts such as Lonestar and Kenny Chesney, along with one of his heroes, Merle Haggard. His 2023 album, “This Life I Love” featured the hit singles and music videos “One Drink In,” “Goin’ Goin’” and “Wait Til I’m Gone.” Those songs helped Morace earn a win as “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2022 Texas Country Music Awards.
