The Angelina Center for the Arts on the Angelina College campus has for 25 years been a true hub of artistic expression, and both former and current AC Art instructors are gathering to celebrate the facility’s anniversary.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, those instructors will host a reunion/art exhibition inside the ACA Gallery, with the reception schedule to begin at 6 p.m.
“We’re inviting the faculty who built the department over time to return and join us for a celebration of the past 25 years of teaching excellence,” Le’Anne Alexander, Art Instructor, said.
In addition, attendees at the reception will have the opportunity to win a piece of art from Sean Dupre’.
The list of participants is ongoing and continuing to grow. Following is a partial list of those scheduled to attend and display:
Previous faculty: Robbie Lacomb Roach, Corinne Jones, Clint Alexander, Ann Reyes, Sean Dupré and Denise Davis.
Current faculty: Richelle Dorris, Stina Herrera and Jan Anderson-Paxson.
The exhibition itself opens Sept. 14 and runs through October 22.
Admission to both the exhibition and reception is free to the public.
