American Heart Association CPR

CPR + AED + First Aid

This 8-hour course is intended for non-healthcare professionals and provides knowledge in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), an automated external defibrillator (AED), airway obstruction, and first aid care for infants, children, and adults. Once the course has been successfully completed, individuals will receive CPR + AED + First Aid Certification that is valid for two years.

This program normally costs $65, but thanks to the generous Texas Mutual Safety Grant, the program is offered at a discounted rate of $30.

Caregiver Support

Caregiver Support

This program teaches individuals how to assist the aging with Activities of Daily Life, provides a brief overview of the dementia process and what to expect when living or working with someone who has dementia, and strategies for coping and self-care. Additionally, individuals who participate in this program will participate in sensory activities to gain a better understanding of what it feels like to live with dementia.

This program normally costs $100, but thanks to the generous Texas Mutual Safety Grant, the program is offered at a discounted rate of $50.

Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator

This 8-hour course trains individuals how to safely operate a forklift. Training topics include:

• Moving with and without a load

• Picking up and stacking a load

• Special considerations, such as trailers, ramps and elevators

• Working safely around forklifts

• OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Standard 1910.178 and 1926.602 compliance

This program normally costs $130, but thanks to the generous Texas Mutual Safety Grant, the program is offered at a discounted rate of $65.

OSHA General Industry Programs

OSHA 10 General Industry

The OSHA 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry level worker’s general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards in a general industry setting.

This program normally costs $100, but thanks to the generous Texas Mutual Safety Grant, the program is offered at a discounted rate of $50.

OSHA 30 General Industry

The OSHA 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety training program designed for those working within general industry. The course design structure and content provides vital information for those working the following jobs:

· safety directors

· foremen

· field supervisors

This 30-hour program offers a complete instruction of OSHA compliance issue training.

This 4-hour program teaches individuals the tips and techniques they need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontation.

This program normally costs $20, but thanks to the generous Texas Mutual Safety Grant, the program is offered at a discounted rate of $10.
