Ada and The Engine

Ada and the Engine is a historical drama by Lauren Gunderson about the life of Ada Byron Lovelace, the 19th-century mathematician often called the first computer programmer and the daughter of the notorious romantic poet, Lord Byron. The play chronicles Ada’s personal and intellectual relationship with Charles Babbage, the inventor of the early mechanical computer known as the Analytical Engine.
