Location
The Commencement Ceremonies are held in the AC Activity Center, also known as Shands Gymnasium.
Parking: Please note that the gym parking lot is reserved entirely for handicapped/accessible parking only. All other visitors should park by the police department or Health Careers I. Graduates should park in the lot next to Hudgins Hall only.
Guest Guidelines
We kindly remind everyone of the guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for all attendees. Your cooperation in adhering to these rules is greatly appreciated.
Prohibited Items
To maintain a dignified atmosphere during the ceremony, we prohibit the following items in the gym during the ceremony.
- Noise Makers
- Balloons
- Alcohol
- Pets (exception- service animal)
- Large banners or posters
Your understanding and compliance with these guidelines will contribute to the success of our ceremony. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to celebrating this special occasion together.
Graduate Reminders
Check In and Graduate Parking
Graduates should arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to their ceremony start time in Hudgins Hall (or the Conference Center if it rains), and park in the adjacent lot only . This will allow family and guests to park closer to the gym for the ceremonies.

Regalia Guidelines:
No Unapproved Regalia, Cords, Stoles, Medals, Etc. Only approved regalia may be worn during the ceremony. Students are not permitted to modify their regalia, with the exception of the graduation cap, which may be decorated as long as all messages and images are appropriate. Only PTK Officers are authorized to wear the PTK medal. Students are encouraged to wear business casual or formal attire beneath their regalia.

Official Transcripts are available within 48 hours of the end of the semester. You can request to have your transcripts sent to transfer institutions before grades are posted and they will be delivered once the term is over.
