Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Our two-year program includes opportunities to practice in a variety of clinical settings, such as adult critical care, medical/surgical floor, neonatal intensive care unit, high-risk delivery room, and our state-of-the-art simulation lab.

You’ll learn to diagnose lung and breathing disorders, manage ventilators and airway devices, respond to code blues, consult with physicians, and analyze arterial blood gas specimens. Upon completion, you’ll receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Respiratory Care and be eligible to take the national board examinations.

The Angelina College Respiratory Program, CoARC number 200156, which awards an associate of applied science at the Lufkin campus, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (www.coarc.com).

CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcomes based’ process. Information Session & Required Criteria

Must meet all REQUIRED CRITERIA including taking prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or better before the designated date.

Must attend an INFORMATION SESSION to obtain a Respiratory Care program application and information.
