Angelina College Associate Degree Nursing Program Holds Ceremony

Class of 2025 Graduates Receive Pins

Angelina College’s Associates Degree Nursing Program on Thursday recognized 59 new nurses entering their chosen professions with a traditional pinning ceremony held inside AC’s Shands Gymnasium.

Dr. Winifred Ferguson Adams, Dean of School of Health Careers, also announced those students receiving special recognition. Those included Nina Martinez Potter (Highest GPA), Emmery Copertino (Most Outstanding Clinicals Student) and Rosalynn Wesley (Overall Most Outstanding Student).

As Peggy Mortensen announced their names, the new grads received their traditional pins from friends, family members or AC staff members before Nancy McClurg led the recital of the “Nightingale Pledge”
