Adult Education and Literacy

AEL is committed to helping our communities move forward through education.

Learn basic English language skills, English as a Second Language (ESL), prepare to take the high school equivalency test (GED), get ready to take the TSI exams, build confidence with college and career prep, and get job training and college skills with financial support.

All services are free for those who qualify.

Become an AEL student and you may earn a scholarship for one of these programs:


This program helps students prepare to enter college-level courses and learn the skills that will prepare them to be successful.


The ESL program for adults focuses on conversational English, grammar, reading, listening, comprehension, writing and vocabulary. Students enjoy small class sizes and a personalized approach to learning.


Why should you get your GED? Increased job opportunities. Access to higher education. Greater earning potential. AC offers classes and guidance to help you prepare for the GED exam.


The Work Ready program provides academic and financial assistance to students enrolled in programs that lead to an industry-recognized certification. Enroll in the Work Ready program and earn a full-ride scholarship for a specific industry recognized certification!
